Running for Refugees 2024
In 2023, Habibi Center USA and Habibi Center ran the Athens Marathon and other races around the world to support our mission to empower refugee youth for a brighter future.
Between 17 runners, we successfully raised over $10,000 from over 200 donors.
Habibi Center USA and Habibi Center are excited to partner again in 2024 to welcome runners and walkers from every continent to further our mission.
From October 1 through December 31, 2024, we are inviting you to join us by setting up your own fundraising page and raising funds for Habibi Center so we can continue to grow and sustain our work in immigrant and refugee communities in Athens and around the world. From 1 mile/kilometer to an entire marathon, you can run or walk any distance!
Where can I run or walk?
Anywhere!
Whether you are running an official race or walking around your neighborhood, you can run or walk wherever you are and whatever distance you want.

It’s easy!
Go to our main Running for Refugees 2024 fundraising page, scroll down and select ‘I want to fundraise for this,’ and create your own fundraising page.
Decide when you want to run or walk before the end of 2024. We encourage you to bring a friend, or 10, along with you!
Share your fundraising page with everyone you know — family, friends, neighbors, coworkers — and encourage them to support our mission.
